Le petit mariner and I have just returned from an impromptu trip to see Granny and Grandad and my dear high school buddies in Windsor. We had a wonderful time seeing everyone, and some tears were shed on departure. We will definitely be coming home more often.
We also had a great time en route, especially when deplaning our tiny Porter dash 8 in Toronto, when the pilot offered Jack a trip up front! Clearly, he could sense the airline pedigree in Jack’s blood. He had just woken up and was placed in the captain’s seat, making him a teeny bit trepidatious… But just like cousin Chris, he will overcome it
.

The return leg was more enjoyable, as Auntie Lindsay could help keep the little guy occupied and chase him around the airport. We missed Auntie Roe very much, so we told stories about her the whole time.
It’s hard to be far away from home, but the love and attention everyone has showered on this little guy so early on in his life has played a huge role in the calm, loving, patient and wonderful little person he is becoming. Thank you to everyone, near and far!

I never imagined Rosie with a Keith nose…but it happened.
Looks like a fabulous trip! (even the wee detour into the cockpit)
I think that to myself every day. It’s nuts!
